Immediately after the Trans March, come unwind, relax, have a drink, socialize, dance to mashups, and see some trans and non-binary performers, right at the same corner where the Trans March ends — Turk & Taylor, site of the 1966 Compton’s Cafeteria riots, where transgender women fought back against police harassment, in what is now recognized as the first queer activist action that pre-dates the Stonewall riots by three years!
This year, Bootie Mashup is collaborating with Glama-Rama Salon and Biig bar to present a fun Trans March after-party. Glama-Rama will be offering hair and makeup makeovers, we’ll have an aura reader in the house, and of course, Biig bar will be serving up delicious cocktails!
Adrian A & Jupiter Gatling will be spinning queer-tastic pop mashups to get your groove on, and throughout the evening, impromptu performances from local transgender and non-binary performers will happen on the bar top!
All proceeds from the party will be donated to San Francisco Trans March, in an effort to help fund next year’s march!
