About this event
With DNA Pizza right next door, it only makes sense for Bootie to throw … a Pizza Party! Free slices of pizza will be randomly given away throughout the night, as resident DJs Adrian A, Mysterious D and Dada spin the best mashups in the world into one perfect pie! Dance those cheesy calories away! House band Smash-Up Derby at 11 PM takes the stage for a live rock mashup show, while drag hosts Qween and Suppositori Spelling perform the Midnight Mashup Show. Upstairs in the Lounge, it’s Cirque du Cliché, keeping you moving on the dance floor, while in Above, Gaslight Mafia manipulates classic swing and jazz with modern sounds, and Bump Twerk Boom takes over the Dazzle Room, making you bump, sweat, and grind with bootie-twerking bass! Plus club photographer ShutterSlut capturing the fun, and FREE Bootie mashup CDs to the first 100 people!
Launched in 2003 by San Francisco DJ duo A Plus D, Bootie was the first club night dedicated solely to the then-new bootleg mashup — and is now the biggest mashup event in the world, with regular parties in several cities across the globe. Winning various nightlife awards for the past 13 years, Bootie celebrates pop culture both past and present, keeping your brain guessing and body dancing with creative song combinations that provide the soundtrack for the A.D.D. generation.
