About this event
To get ready for Halloween season, Bootie is kicking off the month with two of our favorite things: it’s Pirates vs. Zombies! Fully dressed pirates or zombies — or a mashup of the two — get in FREE. Just no half-assing it, full costumes only! At 11 PM, Hubba Hubba Revue takes the Main Stage for a pirate and zombie burlesque variety show, while resident pirate DJs EN8, Tyme, and Tripp spin a treasure chest of the best mashup bootie in the world! Upstairs in the Lounge, Damn Gina spins super fun dance music, while in Above, Las Baygas brings Vegas-style bangers to get you on on the dance floor, and Bump Twerk Boom takes over the Dazzle Room, making you bump, sweat, and grind with bootie-twerking bass! All this, plus drag hosts Suppositori Spelling and Cash Monet, club photography by ShutterSlut, and FREE Bootie mashup CDs to the first 100 people through the door!
Launched in 2003 by San Francisco DJ duo A Plus D, Bootie was the first club night dedicated solely to the then-new bootleg mashup — and is now the biggest mashup event in the world, with regular parties in several cities across the globe. Winning various nightlife awards for the past 13 years, Bootie celebrates pop culture both past and present, keeping your brain guessing and body dancing with creative song combinations that provide the soundtrack for the A.D.D. generation.
