About this event

Bootie celebrates Michael Jackson with an evening filled with mashup tributes to the late, great “King of Pop.” Resident DJs Airsun and Tripp mash up Jacko throughout the night, mixing him up with anybody and everybody, no artist or genre is safe! At 11 PM, the Monster Drag Show takes the stage for a non-stop Jacko-licious mashup drag spectacular, featuring some of the most creative drag queens in San Francisco!

Upstairs in Above, it’s the Monster Electro-House Party with DJs MC2 and Paul Goodyear, while in the Lounge, it’s the delirious, roof-raising dance sounds of Brass Tax. And in the Dazzle Room, popular Black Rock City village Fandango brings the playa to the club, with DJs Malderor and Juan Rapido. Plus drag hosts Qween, Abominatrix, and Shelby Bisquick, club photographer ShutterSlut capturing the fun, and free Bootie mashup CDs to the first 100 people!

Launched in 2003 by San Francisco DJ duo A Plus D, Bootie was the first club night dedicated solely to the then-new bootleg mashup — and is now the biggest mashup event in the world, with regular parties in several cities across the globe. Winning various nightlife awards for the past 13 years, Bootie celebrates pop culture both past and present, keeping your brain guessing and body dancing with creative song combinations that provide the soundtrack for the A.D.D. generation.
