About this event
Bootie celebrates Pride weekend with a tribute to the first ladies of pop — it’s Madonna vs. Lady Gaga Mashup Night, as Bootie LA’s ShyBoy joins resident DJs Adrian A and JimiG, as they mix and mash Madge and Gaga throughout the night! At 11 PM, mashup rock band Smash-Up Derby takes the stage for a divalicious rock mashup set, while Kay Kush, Lady Darling, and MJ Paul present a dueling diva Midnight Mashup Show. Upstairs in Above, popular Black Rock City village Fandango brings the playa to the club, with DJs Mysterious D and Malderor. In the Lounge, it’s Party Killers, as DJs Party Ben & Mykill throw down house remixes and more, while in the Dazzle Room it’s the delirious, roof-raising dance sounds of Brass Tax! Plus drag hosts Holy McGrail and Qween, club photographer ShutterSlut capturing the fun, and FREE Bootie mashup CDs to the first 100 people!
Launched in 2003 by San Francisco DJ duo A Plus D, Bootie was the first club night dedicated solely to the then-new bootleg mashup — and is now the biggest mashup event in the world, with regular parties in several cities across the globe. Winning various nightlife awards for the past 12 years, Bootie celebrates pop culture both past and present, keeping your brain guessing and body dancing with creative song combinations that provide the soundtrack for the A.D.D. generation.
