About this event

Bootie SF welcomes the return of one of the superstars of the mashup world — direct from Austria, it’s DJ Schmolli. A producer of mashups for the last 16 years, he’s created over 350 of them — many which are staples not only at Bootie, but also on BBC Radio 1 and Austria’s biggest station OE3. Besides rocking the Main Room, he’ll also be joining house band Smash-Up Derby at 11 PM for a song or two. Also spinning will be Bootie resident DJs Adrian A, Mysterious D, and Dada, while for the Midnight Mashup Show, aerialist Electric Blue flies above the crowd. Upstairs in the Lounge, it’s Cirque du Cliché, keeping you moving on the dance floor, while in Above, Gaslight Mafia manipulates classic swing and jazz with modern sounds, and Bump Twerk Boom takes over the Dazzle Room, making you bump, sweat, and grind with bootie-twerking bass! Plus drag host Suppositori Spelling, club photographer ShutterSlut capturing the fun, and FREE Bootie mashup CDs to the first 100 people!

Launched in 2003 by San Francisco DJ duo A Plus D, Bootie was the first club night dedicated solely to the then-new bootleg mashup — and is now the biggest mashup event in the world, with regular parties in several cities across the globe. Winning various nightlife awards for the past 12 years, Bootie celebrates pop culture both past and present, keeping your brain guessing and body dancing with creative song combinations that provide the soundtrack for the A.D.D. generation.
