About this event
Resident Bootie DJs Adrian A., DJ Tyme, and JimiG mix and mash Coachella artists past and present all night long — it’s Bootchella! At 11 PM, mashup rock band Smash-Up Derby takes the stage for a Coachella-inspired set, while aerialist Anna Firebird makes her Midnight Mashup Show debut. Upstairs in Above, it’s VJ Tripp’s Video Party, as he spins dance music videos on the big screen, and in the Lounge, it’s the delirious, roof-raising dance sounds of Brass Tax! Activate takes over the Dazzle Room with DJ Joseph Lee’s deep sexy tech house. Plus drag hosts Holy McGrail and Suppositori Spelling, and FREE Bootie mashup CDs to the first 100 people!
Launched in 2003 by San Francisco DJ duo A Plus D, Bootie was the first club night dedicated solely to the then-new bootleg mashup — and is now the biggest mashup event in the world, with regular parties in several cities across the globe. Winning various nightlife awards for the past 12 years, Bootie celebrates pop culture both past and present, keeping your brain guessing and body dancing with creative song combinations that provide the soundtrack for the A.D.D. generation.
