About this event
Resident Bootie DJs Mysterious D, Tripp, and JimiG mix and mash all the ’80s and ’90s genres with music from multiple decades, paying homage to the eras yet keeping the music fresh! At 11 PM, mashup rock band Smash-Up Derby takes the stage for a decade-spanning set, while aerialist Anna Yanushkevich flies high above your heads for the Midnight Mashup Show.
Upstairs in Above, it’s a Portland Takeover, with DJs StormyRoxx, REsy+PONY, and Joseph Lee, while in the Lounge, Damn Gina spins super fun dance music, and in the Dazzle Room, Nu Dance brings the future of pop music to keep you dancing! All this, plus drag hosts Qween and Johnny Rockitt, FREE Bootie mashup CDs to the first 100 people, and club photography by ShutterSlut, who will be on hand to snap shots of all your fabulous decade-mashing outfits!
Launched in 2003 by San Francisco DJ duo A Plus D, Bootie was the first club night dedicated solely to the then-burgeoning bootleg mashup scene — and is now the biggest mashup event in the world, with parties in cities across the globe. Winning various nightlife awards for the past 13 years, Bootie celebrates pop culture both past and present, keeping your brain guessing and body dancing with creative song combinations, providing the soundtrack for the A.D.D. generation.
