In the years since the 1994 release of Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” it has gone on to become a modern holiday classic, one of the few since the heyday of Christmas songs in the ’30s and ’40s to actually become a bona fide annual “standard.” It has steadily gained in popularity each year, finally reaching #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2019, 25 years after its initial release. 

It’s so damn popular, in fact, that it has become a cliché in the mashup commuity, with dozens of producers trying their hand at mashing up Mariah with a bevy of other artists. Bootie Mashup maven Adriana A joked once that she could compile an entire Christmas album using only mashups of this one song, and, well… here we are. “Trolling the ancient Yuletide carol” indeed. 

While this playlist (in alphabetical order by producer name) is certainly not EVERY mashup ever made of Mariah’s classic, it’s been narrowed down to mashups that are mostly not OOK or OOT (out-of-key or out-of-time) or complete train wrecks. We do, after all, have standards. Some of these may sound like a lump of coal in your stocking, while others will be a Playstation under the tree, but no matter your taste, there’s likely something for everyone.
