About this event
The Deep South takes over Bootie, as Bootie Atlanta, Bootie Boston, and Bootie DragonCon founder and veteran mashup artist dj BC rocks the decks with a groovy mash of classic dance, hip-hop, pop, rock and funky surprises! Joining him on the decks in both the Main Room and the upstairs Lounge will be Nashville’s own Pimpdaddysupreme, as the pair being some southern flavor (and geek love) to Bootie throughout the night!
At 11 PM house band Smash-Up Derby takes the stage for a live rock mashup show, while drag hosts Qween and Suppositori Spelling perform the Midnight Mashup Show. Also in the Main Room will be Bootie founders Mysterious D (originally from Dallas) and Adrian A, along with opening DJ Dada. Upstairs in Above, Gaslight Mafia manipulates classic swing and jazz with modern sounds, and in the Dazzle Room, Post Cliché will keep you bumping on the dance floor! All this, plus club photographer ShutterSlut capturing the fun, and FREE Bootie mashup CDs to the first 100 people!
Launched in 2003 by San Francisco DJ duo A Plus D, Bootie was the first club night dedicated solely to the then-new bootleg mashup — and is now the biggest mashup event in the world, with regular parties in several cities across the globe. Winning various nightlife awards for the past 13 years, Bootie celebrates pop culture both past and present, keeping your brain guessing and body dancing with creative song combinations that provide the soundtrack for the A.D.D. generation.
Your basic night at Bootie SF goes a little something like this…..
