About this event
We know that LA just can’t get enough of Depeche Mode, from their ’80s synthpop beginnings to their dark and sexy ’90s electronica to their more adult recent material — so Bootie is mixing and mashing songs from their entire 30+ year career with anything and everything. It’s Depeche Mode Mashup Night! Bootie co-founder Adrian A. will be your own personal Jesus, coming down from San Francisco to join resident DJ ShyBoy, as they mix in DM mashups, bootlegs, and remixes all night, knowing that everything counts on the dance floor! Plus resident dance crew R.A.I.D. will never let you down with their go-go insanity, and Shutter Tribe will be there to capture all the fun! All this, plus free Bootie mashup CDs for the first 100 people through the door!
Launched in 2003 by San Francisco DJ duo A Plus D, Bootie was the first club night dedicated solely to the then-burgeoning artform of the bootleg mashup — and is now the biggest mashup event in the world, with regular parties in several cities. Winning various nightlife awards for the past 12 years, Bootie celebrates pop culture both past and present, keeping your brain guessing and body dancing with creative song combinations. Mixing and matching every musical genre, era, and style into one big dance party, it’s a place where everyone is welcome. And with free mashup CDs given away like candy, Bootie provides the soundtrack for the A.D.D. generation.
