About this event
Join us as we “laissez les bons temps rouler”! It’s Bootie SF’s Mardi Gras Mashquerade! We’ll have plenty of masks, feathers, and beads to get you in the Carnaval spirit! Dress to impress, or just show up in street clothes with your dancing shoes on — because resident DJs Airsun, EN8 and Dada will be filling the Main Room with more rich decadent mashups than you can imagine, even though you don’t have to fast afterwards to enjoy them! Plus, mashup rock band Smash-Up Derby kicks the party off Bourbon Street style with a live set at 11 PM, and aerialist Alexa Kay performs high in the air above the crowd for the Midnight Mashup Show.
Upstairs, popular Burning Man camp Decadent Oasis takes over Above, with DJs Hijinx, davesimon, DJB, and Mr. Romance, while in the Lounge, Damn Gina spins super fun dance music. And in the Dazzle Room, Nu Dance brings the future of pop music to keep you dancing! All this, plus drag hosts Qween and Rock M Sakura, FREE Bootie mashup CDs to the first 100 people, and club photography by ShutterSlut, who will be on hand to snap shots of all your fabulous onesies!
Launched in 2003 by San Francisco DJ duo A Plus D, Bootie was the first club night dedicated solely to the then-new bootleg mashup — and is now the biggest mashup event in the world, with regular parties in several cities across the globe. Winning various nightlife awards for the past 13 years, Bootie celebrates pop culture both past and present, keeping your brain guessing and body dancing with creative song combinations that provide the soundtrack for the A.D.D. generation.
